Valentine day story!

Today, I met a girl with pink rose in her hand. It was Valentines day and she told me, that rose was given by her not-related-to-blood brother. She had suppressed, mysterious smile on her face. I could not understand that smile. I felt she wanted to share more with me. I smelled rose and she smiled again. She went on, saying his brother's parents were like her parents and their families were very close. They both sent flowers to each other's family. She said, his brother's brother and she were dating since school time. Before 2 years, the guy she dated passed away in one sad road accident. Tragic! My mouth was wide open hearing this. I heard something like this for the first time. Such stories we only get to see in movies. Throughout the conversation, her eyes were searching something on the earth. My heart felt for her. I took her hand in mine to console her. She looked at me with misty eyes and said, I have learned to cope up with this loss over the time. She whispered but I could hear her firm words: I will move on! I was speechless. I kept staring at that pink rose...

New Year Resolution!

Happy New Year!

3 days are passed since we saw the morning Sun of 2013. I look back at last year and evaluate what all I gained and lost in terms of knowledge, money, friends, relationships, love and respect. Every year, I pen down few fix set of things in my ‘To Do’ list. And today, while contemplating, I find those things, more or less, achieved or irrelevant. May be because half of those things I have really achieved and after achieving them, rests associated with them look irrelevant. Life has its own Pareto Principal. You feel like you are at the centre of the world and everything else is falling in place. They say this is the stage of contentment. The stage when you get immense peace. You get self approval and self appreciation for the life you lived. 2012 was the year of transformation for me. I transformed as a person, grew up a little more than I do on birthdays. I will not make any resolution this year. I will thank God for what all he has given to me - Love of dear ones, courage to apologize, hope not to give up, endurance, good health and enormous experiences. However, 7 things I will keep reminding myself throughout this year.

1. Be true to yourself
2. Work hard & prioritize
3. Find happiness within
4. Patience & acceptance
5. Give respect and appreciate who influences you 
6. Ignore negative elements
7. You reap what you sow. Your deeds never get unnoticed, neither by people nor by destiny!
